12/16: Changes brewing…hopefully.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 12/16: We are stuck in the loop right now with few changes. There is a little less fog visible on Blue Mesa this morning but today will look just like yesterday with a weak inversion keeping highs slightly cooler down low than on the ridges or at the resort but still with plenty of sun.
Temperatures: Clear skies have allowed for lower than forecast lows at -6 for Gunni and -1 for CB. This will keep highs down to 34 for Gunni and 36 for CB. Lows tonight will look about the same.
Outlook: Wednesday will start mostly clear but we will see the northern flow sagging close enough to the divide to stir up high winds by noon and snow showers by the afternoon. The dynamics for this are weak and winds will be the big variable with this blowing through quickly. We are looking at an inch or two max mostly just for the north short of some anomalous convective banding with skies clearing again Thursday. These winds should scour the colder air from the valleys so look for warmer highs to close the week.
