11/16: Some snow and a colder turn.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 11/16: We are seeing cloud cover building early this morning as the front end of this low starts moving in. Models now have it break to the northeast rather than southeast and this will give us a period on the front end to collect some snow up high but the best dynamics will miss with the colder air arriving after the best moisture. Expect 1-3 for Gunni and 2-4 for CB overnight with anything more a bonus.
Temperatures: Lows were warm with the clouds at 21 for CB while Gunni hit 19. Highs will be too warm reaching 50 for CB and 55 for Gunni. Lows tonight will be in the 20s.
Outlook: This low will spin up to the northeast creating an upslope pattern with a weak ridge bringing us cooler temperatures and a partly sunny mix back for Monday. This will be short lived with another pacific low moving in Tuesday with temperatures finally holding around seasonal norms and a swing at snow in varied degrees through the rest of the week. The pattern has multiple interacting components so day to day conditions will change but there will be a better dynamic mix with moisture and colder temperatures through the end of the week.
