4/22: Batten down the hatches.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 4/22: The first round of weaker moisture pushed through the area overnight with little effect and we are seeing clear skies early. The pacific low has opened and will be blowing in through the day with high wind gusts getting stronger and more consistent into the afternoon. We will see some cloud cover but any moisture holds off until Thursday.
Temperatures: Lows gained a couple degrees with CB at 25 and Gunni at 28. Highs will cool back to 59 for CB and 67 for Gunni with cooler winds. Lows tonight will be a little warmer with the winds.
Outlook: Models have pulled back on the expected effects from this trough pushing through over the course of the next couple days with limited moisture. Temperatures will bottom out Thursday with the front end of this wave threatening snow up high and scattered showers through the day. These will clear through the late afternoon and Friday will be cool and clear but gusting winds remain a threat. Clouds build back in overnight and another trough moves in from the west for a spring mix through the weekend.
