4/18: Mild lows feeding warm highs.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 4/18: A weak wave of moisture is showing up on regional radar this morning moving west to east and will move over our area. We could see a little moisture but this will likely just be virga not quite hitting the ground but producing high gusting winds. By tonight we may actually see flakes or drops but nothing measurable so just plan on a mild mix for the day.
Temperatures: Lows were balmy holding to 32 for Crested Butte and 31 for Gunnison. Highs will reach 51 for CB and 64 for Gunni. Lows tonight will be a little cooler but still mild.
Outlook: We continue to sit between the branches of this split flow in the jet stream with weak pulses of energy knuckleballing over the area. Models have consistently backed off of anything too impressive into the weekend with cooler nights the best chance while daytime highs hold to the 50s. Friday night through Saturday night have the best potential but by Sunday we see a ridge in the west that will tip the scales to a more sun heavy mix.
