5/1: A weak wave blowing through.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 5/1: Hello May. We are seeing a line of moisture roughly stretching from Vegas to WY that will slide across the west today with just the tail end likely to move through our area. This is a glancing blow at best but we will likely see high gusting winds building on the approach with cloud cover increasing into the afternoon with scattered showers. Moisture will be limited and gusting winds will keep things moving but it could produce a little snow overnight as temps drop.
Temperatures: Lows dropped to 28 degrees valley wide. Highs will reach 55 for CB and 63 for Gunni. Lows tonight will look about the same.
Outlook: Models now move this moisture through faster than initially forecast with clearer skies for Thursday holding into early Friday. We see the southern end of another weak trough drag through the area into Friday afternoon with just isolated showers possible and mostly just limited to the divide at the north end of the valley. Plan on a bit of a mix with breezy conditions into the weekend but nothing of real consequence.
