4/28: More sun in the mix.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 4/28: The spotty sunshine we are seeing mixing in with the heavier cloud cover will be the rule through the morning but we are seeing more moisture upstream that will move in this afternoon. The combination of increasing temperatures and this moisture will mean convective cells that could finally produce thundershowers but a surge of rain or snow showers will build before skies clear overnight.
Temperatures: Overnight lows held steady at 29 for Crested Butte and 34 for Gunnison. Highs will bump up to 50 for Gunni and 43 for CB. Lows tonight will drop to the 20s valley wide.
Outlook: The pattern flattens to a zonal west to east flow to start the week with moisture lifting to the north and clearing to the west. We will see temperatures popping back to the 50s and 60s through Wednesday with mostly sunny conditions dominating. Models split starting Thursday with a northern jet sagging south to introduce moisture to the north and potentially close enough to cross the divide. This will be gone again by Friday and chances are it misses us altogether.
