4/27: Classic CO Spring Mix
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 4/27: This storm has evolved about as expected with temperatures straddling the freezing mark between CB and Gunni with about 3” new for CB and a mix depending on where you are in Gunni. Moisture is wrapping back in from the east as a southern jet undercuts the wraparound system. The combination of an unfavorable wind direction and dwindling moisture will have snow and rain tapering as the day progresses with gusting winds as it exits the area. The full spring medley is on the potential menu with conditions ripe for snow, rain, small hail and high gusting winds.
Temperatures: Lows held to 34 for Gunni but hit 27 for CB. Highs will creep up to 42 for CB and 48 or Gunni. Lows tonight will be cooler by a few degrees.
Outlook: This moisture wrapping back in from the northeast will offer snow showers early Sunday turning to isolated rain showers with clearing through the day. The mix will be more sun heavy into the afternoon with skies clearing overnight kicking off a dry and mild trend for the new week.
