Skiers Attempt World Record Jump
A group of 30 people in Quebec have attempted a world record for the having the most people do a backflip on skis while holding hands.

30 skiers doing a synchronized backflip is just as cool as it sounds. Mogul skier and Freestyle Ski World Cup champion Mikaël Kingsbury outdid his own world title this week. He pulled 30 freestyle athletes together at Mont St. Sauveur in Quebec to perform largest simultaneous backflip ever — while skiing down a hill. Jérôme Bernèche, another skier, said that members of the group, many of whom were current or ex-members of the Canadian freestyle skiing team, trained for about two hours before the jump. On the first attempt, their line broke, but they nailed the second attempt. Unfortunately, they missed the deadline for this year’s Guinness Book of World Records attempts, but they’ll be trying again next year. In the meantime, please excuse us: We have to go try to accomplish something with our lives.
