Happy humpday! Here’s a classic from last years strider race during the USA Pro Cycling Challenge stop here in Crested Butte. Bailing sometimes has higher consequences. I think I’ve only seen roller blade videos where someone crashes.
The Tightest Line is an interesting looking fly fishing film from Harrison Buck. Among its various locations and personalities, it features local guides Will Lillard and Charlie Parr fishing here near Crested Butte, as well as other locations like the Bahamas. Western State Colorado University Mountain Sports put on an awesome rail jam, from which the winners earned themselves a trip to the CB backcountry on a sled from Red Bull. Western Campus Rail Jam and Crested Butte BC from Mountain Sports Media on Vimeo.
CBMST stud Turner Petersen recently laced this beautifully executed line on Whetstone’s M Face. The backcountry is still firing! Edit by Gage Meredith and Chair 1 Films.

A frequent contributor to West Elk Project, Andrew Arnold has put together some entertaining edits for us this winter (see Gapers in the Park and Fall Edit). Check out the final snowboard and ski edit, featuring Andrew, Grady Shoop, Dave Sugnet, and the plethora of Western State shredders. Despite another low snow year, these kids […]
Lynsey Dyer put together an inspiring edit from her 2016 season, that is more of an “outside the box” look at our lives as skiers in a hectic and changing world. Thank Goodness For The Outdoors: Lynsey Dyer 2016 Season Edit from Unicorn Picnic Productions on Vimeo.
The Meeting 8 closed strong with Teton Gravity Research’s feature film, “The Dream Factory.” The film is a tribute to Alaska, skiing’s mecca and TGR’s most frequented destination since it first began exploring America’s last frontier sixteen years ago. Starting in Girdwood, The Dream Factory covers AK’s history, from the gold rush and the rise […]
