4/16: Clearing but expect wind.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 4/16: This system produced about what was expected for us with 3” new at the resort while Irwin saw 9” and areas along 70 saw up to 20”. Skies will be clearing from west to east through the day as this system pushes through and is replaced by a high pressure ridge. Look for snow showers early turning to partly sunny skies with gusting winds keeping things moving.
Temperatures: Clouds kept lows warm with Gunnison at 31 and 27 for CB. Highs will reach 45 for CB and 54 for Gunni. Lows tonight will be cooler with clearer skies.
Outlook: We see a ridge of high pressure move in for the southwest while another low stalls up by the CO WY boarder keeping conditions more active. The interface between these two systems will mean windy conditions for most off the week with high gusting winds but mostly sunny conditions for us. We see a weak wave build in Friday afternoon from the southwest that will bring moisture through Saturday but so far temperatures are looking too warm for efficient snow production. Plan on a mostly sunny but windy mix through the week with changes by Friday.
