4/25: Changes by the afternoon.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 4/25: Today will be our day of transition with the front end of this next round knocking at the door with regional satellite imagery showing this rotating low currently in NV. Showers lifting from the south will move over our area through the middle of the day with moisture playing off the mild start and brewing up convective thunder cells for late afternoon turning to snow overnight.
Temperatures: Lows bounced back to warmer conditions with CB at 27 and 33 for Gunni. Highs will hold to 54 for CB and 62 for Gunni. Lows tonight will look about the same.
Outlook: This moisture will move in as two different pulses with the first passing Friday and a second colder round building in Friday night and sticking around through Sunday. In classic spring form, temperatures will be well over freezing during the days while overnight lows will be cold enough for snow. The result will be a rain snow mix during the days with thundershowers mixing in turning to snow overnight. The best snow will come Friday night into Saturday and then again Saturday night with a few inches down low but more up high.
