Local pipe stud Aaron Blunck rebounded from a disappointing result at the Copper Grand Prix to take second at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge today. It is a huge result for Blunck, who needs results like this to secure a spot on the US Olympic Team. Currently, he sits in the 3rd of 4 spots on the American team. Screen Shot 2017-12-15 at 10.19.27 AM
Blunck was holding on to the top spot from his second run, but American Alex Ferreira went absolutely huge and snagged 1st with a 94.66. Aaron seemed to suffer a binding malfunction on his third run, after his ski popped off on his way into his third hit. To find Aaron’s run, skip to 50 minutes in (it’s a pain to find, he’s wearing orange). The women are currently skiing on this same live stream.
