12/3: Cold temps and light snow.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 12/3: We are seeing the base of this trough to the north while sitting right on the edge of the stronger flow of moisture. This has us in a hard to predict zone with some southeastern upslope rubbing up against the northeastern flow on the other side of the divide. Potential accumulations will hold to the 2-4” range for CB and 1ish for Gunni but Monarch and travel to the east could be sloppy so be prepared. Skies will remain cloudy early with some breaks into the afternoon before clearing for a cold night.
Temperatures: Lows were moderated by the clouds holding to 18 for Gunni and 13 for CB. Highs will be cold at 19 for CB and 23 for Gunni. Lows tonight will challenge 0 again valley wide as skies clear.
Outlook: We will see a cold mostly clear start to Thursday with sunny skies filling in through the afternoon as we gap waves. The next round will be dropping from the northwest through Friday morning with snow by midday for CB spreading south as the day progresses. The northern flow is a bit of a wild card but models put us in potentially heavy snow through Sunday. Stay tuned for details.
