12/5: Snow on the way.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 12/5: We are seeing a small targeted pocket of moisture sifting through from the northwest offering snow showers and thicker than forecast cloud cover early. We will likely see spotty sunshine in the mix through the middle of the day but look for winds to pick up as the front end of this next round moves in. Dynamics are not favorable with the northwest flow but 2-4” for resort and 1-3” for Gunni is possible overnight. Irwin is more favored and could be in the 6” range. Winds will complicate travel so plan accordingly.
Temperatures: Lows dropped ahead of the cloud cover to -4 valley wide. Highs will bounce back to 30 for Gunni and 25 for CB. Lows tonight will be in the single digits and winds will offer colder wind chills.
Outlook: Snow will continue through Saturday morning with the best moisture tapering into the afternoon. We will see more wind so expect continued complicated travel early. The northwest flow will dry and blow itself out into the evening with some showers but clearing skies into Sunday as we gap waves.
