1/18: A cold start but warming.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 1/18: A clearer night has served up a colder morning but we are also going to see milder air starting to move back into the valley. Sunny skies will bring highs up a couple degrees and we will see winds backing off for more comfortable conditions but have layers for early starts.
Temperatures: Lows dropped to -5 for CB and 1 for Gunni. Highs will climb back to 33 for CB and 37 for Gunni. Lows tonight will be slightly warmer.
Outlook: We kick off the new week with some scattered cloud cover early Monday but clear skies and milder temperatures will be on us through Wednesday. A pivot in the pattern to the west through Tuesday will set the stage for a bigger change with snow showers pushing into the west by Thursday night and continuing into the weekend. This is likely just a couple inches by the time it’s done but it is a change with this stubborn high pressure ridge finally breaking down.
