7/22: Flash Flood Watch
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 7/22: The flow has pivoted to the south as the center of this high has pushed into TX and satellite imagery shows better precipitable water bleeding over our area. Look for some scattered clouds early and then the potential for heavy rains building through the day. Our window of sunshine early will stir up the already saturated atmosphere and the NWS has included us in the Flash Flood Watch so be prepared into the afternoon.
Temperatures: Lows were a little warmer overnight at 54 for Gunni and 47 for CB. Highs will cool back to 78 for CB and 82 for Gunni. Lows tonight will be the same or milder.
Outlook: Our well saturated atmosphere will keep the possibility of showers in play tonight with another more active day possible. Increased cloud cover will keep temperatures cooler stealing some of the convective potential leading to less aggressive cells but still the possibility of slow moving rainers through the day. The high tries to climb back to the 4 Corners by Friday with a switch back to sunny mornings and scattered afternoon thundershowers for the weekend.
