This video was send to us by CB native Randy Evans, who now resides in Montana. This slide occurred January 29th. The victim is buried nearly 10 minutes. Though the video ends before he is actually pulled out, you can hear the rescue underway. The victim suffers only a dislocated shoulder. Very scary stuff.
The Freeride World Tour is taking advantage of a good weather window to re-stage the Hakuba stop, which was postponed due to the ridiculous snowfall in Japan. The northern hemisphere competition season got under way this weekend in Zurich, Switzerland. On the ski side, Henrik Harlaut continued his impressive competition run by laying down a smooth nose butter double cork 1080 to take first place.
