12/4: Clearing early and cold.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 12/4: True to form the northwest flow didn’t do us any favors with CB seeing slow small flakes with the resort reporting 1” new while Irwin saw 7”. We are seeing some light remnants hanging on but these will clear through the morning with a cold mostly clear day expected until later this afternoon when scattered clouds will start to sift in again from the north.
Temperatures: Clouds kept lows a little warmer at 8 for CB and 9 for Gunni this morning. Highs will hover in the mid to high 20s even with the sun. Lows tonight will hold closer to 0 with clouds the variable.
Outlook: We are looking at another round dropping in from the northwest through Friday with a later start to the south but snow building into the afternoon. This is another round that looks promising in the models but comes from the less dependable northwest flow. This next round will come with winds into Saturday and driving will be challenging with periods of heavy snow and limited visibility. Skies clear again Saturday night with a slow trickle of moisture creating a mix into the new week.
