TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 7/23: We are seeing a bonus shot of moisture early as remnants from nocturnal storms move through the area. Regional radar shows almost nothing except for what’s over us so this will likely be short lived but also leave us with thicker cloud cover that will keep temperatures cool. Expect some windows of sun through the middle of the day with scattered showers possible into tonight.
Temperatures: Lows were warm at 57 for Gunni and 52 for CB. Highs will hold to 73 for CB and 79 for Gunni. Lows tonight will cool 5+ degrees with clearer skies.
Outlook: This same high continues to drive our weather with the center moving back towards the 4 Corners for the weekend offering drier air and the return of warmer temperatures. This will dial back the monsoonal plume with afternoon thundershowers remaining possible but back in the scattered category with sunshine the dominant weather feature. By Monday models have it wobbling back to the east which will allow an uptick in available moisture and this could continue to increase again midweek depending on the pattern.
