Crested Butte Mountain Resort played host to an IFSA junior regional freeride competition on Saturday under a mix of cloudy skies and flat light. The classic Colorado chalky hard pack snow that we all know and love so well here in the Elk Mountains was ripping and skiers ranging from 12-18 showcased their skills on […]

Pretty Faces: The Story of a Skier Girl made it’s world debut to a sold out and enthusiastic crowd at the Boulder Theater. It was in fact so crowded that I ended up sharing a seat. The excitement was different not simply because it was an all female film, but that it was a film […]
In our never-ending quest to turn everyone into ski bums and mountain athletes, we went to a little place called Aspen to attend the Meeting 8. We went armed with business cards, notepads, and our camera to battle through ski and snowboard industry conferences, movie premieres, and their direct consequence, the punishment of our livers. […]

MSP’s resort segment in “Days of My Youth” is probably the most fun segment of the year. While everyone can inspire to skiing huge lines and the deepest pow, just getting laps in at the resort can sometimes be all that you need. This segment with Cody Townsend, Banks Gilberti, Richard Permin, and Sander Hadley […]
There is a reason team Follow None dominated the Inaugural West Elk Project Vision Quest. Andrew Buergin, Mary Boddington, and Austin Gibney (and the rest of the team) worked their ass off and produced amazing shots. Thats why we were very stoked to see their Vision Quest footage from the Crested Butte backcountry featured in the teaser for […]
Dave Bunt and the CB ShredPosse got some over the last few weeks. It took a while for the resort to get like this, but it finally happened. Some sick skiing in this edit, so watch the whole thing. Now go out there and get some.
Take a look at this video taken yesterday up on Peeler Peak in the Oh-Be-Joyful Basin. A shallow 8″-1′ deep persistent slab broke off on some surface hoar on a N-NE slope near treeline. It puts the January snowpack in perspective. Thanks, CBAC!
Non Native had a good time exploring the backcountry this season. Here is their edit. Backcountry Days from Non-Native on Vimeo.
Last week’s storm cycle brought over 2 feet to Crested Butte Mountain Resort and 3-5 feet in the backcountry. It was deep and awesome! Check out these photos from Matt Berglund and Will Dujardin of some backcountry and resort skiing.
