GENERAL DATA

FORECAST

10/22: Maybe a little wetter today.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 10/22: As expected these tropical remnants have come in warm with the snowline high and consistent stratiform cloud cover has limited convection keeping showers slow and steady. This trend will hold through today with the same periods of heavier rain but thick cloud cover will remain the rule. Take your drier windows as they come but be prepared.
Temperatures: Lows averaged the mid to low 40s but CB bottomed out at 34. Highs will likely look like yesterday but Gunni’s projection is likely overbaked. Lows tonight could drop if we get any clearing.
Outlook: Our forecast into the weekend is two part with this trough finally clearing to the east but ushering in colder northern air on the western edge. A brief drier gap sets up in the col of the trough Friday but the backside will bring another round of moisture and temperatures cold enough to bring the snow line down with flakes to 8000ft overnight if the right components line up. This more wintry mix will hold through Monday morning when a drier zonal pattern returns. Until then have all the layers handy.
