3/6: 5″ new early.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 3/6: This low has moved into CO with the front end offering a bonus of 5” at the resort overnight. As it continues to move east the pattern pivots to more of an upslope flow to favor areas east of the divide and out of our sweet spot. As a result, we will see a slow trickle for most of the day and possibly into Saturday morning offering just a couple inches short of an anomalous heavy band. This has come in wet so will bond to older snow surfaces but also produce sloppy travel that will freeze into tonight so plan on complicated travel.
Temperatures: Lows stayed mild at 21 for CB and 27 for Gunni. Highs will reflect the colder air holding to just 31 for CB and 42 for Gunni. Lows tonight will drop under clearer skies to the teens.
Outlook: We are back into the high pressure with skies clearing Saturday and likely staying that way through the upcoming week. The track of this cut off low may offer some changes but so far models take it too far to the south to have much of an effect on our conditions.
