5/6: Just on the southern edge.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 5/6: The winds waited until overnight to really blow up but they delivered this first cold front and enough moisture to get the snow falling. Moisture is relegated to the northwestern corner of CO with the southern most edge dropping into our area. Cam images show Monarch still dry and just traces for Gunni early so there is nothing too impressive but expect 1-3 for CB before it breaks later today. Look for spotty sun into the afternoon but then another round building in overnight.
Temperatures: Lows dropped to 21 for CB but held to 30 for Gunni. Highs will reach just 39 for CB and 45 for Gunni. Lows tonight will be in the 20s valley wide.
Outlook: We continue to sit on the southern most edge of these volleys of moisture which means a hard to predict mix but a cold front early Tuesday will bring more snow overnight. Gunni will likely see a few flakes but more of a rain snow mix through the day. Temperatures stay cold but we should see clearing Tuesday afternoon with the sun back Wednesday. Conditions remain chilly and overnight lows will drop to or below 10 for CB Tuesday night with Gunni in the teens.
