4/29: The drier gap.
TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 4/29: We are seeing mostly sunny skies early with just some high clouds in the mix with radar showing better moisture just to the north. Periods of gusting winds associated with passing cells will offer some variables. We should stay on the drier side of this mix but expect the potential for changing conditions and keep the layers handy.
Temperatures: Overnight lows dropped to 25 for Gunni and 22 for CB. Highs will gain to 47 for CB and 57 for Gunni. Lows tonight will look about the same.
Outlook: We are riding the slot between a southern flow of moisture and trough to the north which will keep us out of the main flow of either but close enough for a little of each. Look for a partly sunny start to Thursday with weather building in through noon and a rain snow mix down low as temperatures warm just a bit. This will turn to snow overnight with a little to the valley floors Friday morning tapering as the day progresses. We will be warmer and clearer headed into the weekend but isolated showers could still mix in so stay prepared.
