TV10 Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley Daily Weather Update- For 10/21: We are into this dry slot with the passage of this northern trough likely helping the winds mellow with a mostly sunny day on tap. A super cold clear morning will see a big temperature swing into the afternoon so have layers to shed as the day progresses.
Temperatures: Lows dropped as skies cleared with CB at 16 while Gunni was close behind at 19. Highs will climb back to 60 for Gunni and 51 for CB. Lows tonight will look about the same.
Outlook: Wednesday will start like Tuesday with cold clear conditions but this closed low off the SoCal coast heads our way with high clouds and gusting winds into the afternoon. Any moisture should hold off until around midnight but this opens the door to snow overnight. Thursday will be wetter with this low lifting through from the southwest to northeast with the snow line around 9500ft. This will mean a mix for most valley floors but snow on the higher passes that will start on the wet side and freeze into Thursday night. Expect slick conditions through Friday morning. Friday will tee up a fresh sunny gap with the next round set for Sunday.
