The first stop of the Freeride World Tour went off in Andorra today, after the Chamonix comp was cancelled due to conditions. Crested Butte local Mark Mikos took 12th in his first event (Mark’s run occurs at 1:10:45). “On a day filled with 3 venue switches, unknown snow conditions, guides sluffing out line after line, and an incredibly stacked field, I am beyond stoked to have finished my first ever FWT comp and land in 12th. I wanted to finish and end up with a qualifying result, just barely succeeded with 12th. Next event is tomorrow! It’s on last year’s venue that Turdell slayed… I think I’ll be getting into more of the Crested Butte spirit tomorrow! I feel great, my head is in a great place and my skis feel like they belong on my feet.”

The second stop of the Tour begins tomorrow at 2:00 AM MST.
