While filming for the Fourth Phase in Valdez, Travis Rice got swept up in an avalanche over some heavy terrain.

Crested Butte Mountain Resort has announced that the North Face Lift will open tomorrow! Currently, CBMR is reporting a 44″ base, with 107″ of snow so far this season. With nothing but snow in the forecast, it’s a good time to be skiing Crested Butte. Big thanks to Ski Patrol for all their hard work.

Years of hard work and perseverance paid off last night, and Aaron Blunck is now an X Games champion. In a night filled with crashes on a super icy and wild pipe, Aaron laid down a clean run with his signature technicality that landed him on top of the podium. Congrats Aaron! CB is proud.
Crested Butte native Caleb Mullen recently celebrated his 40th birthday. Instead of throwing a BBQ, Caleb was at the 4* Freeride World Qualifier at Revelstoke. In this great video, he talks about why he still does it. Caleb currently resides in Sandpoint, Idaho, with his wife and son.
