Check out this huge slide triggered by a high marking snowmobiler up in Afton, Wyoming. Good thing he was able to stay on top and his friends were able to get to him quickly. That was lucky!
Take a look at this video taken yesterday up on Peeler Peak in the Oh-Be-Joyful Basin. A shallow 8″-1′ deep persistent slab broke off on some surface hoar on a N-NE slope near treeline. It puts the January snowpack in perspective. Thanks, CBAC!
Starting February eleventh, a five part video series featuring Tanner Hall will be released. These web-episodes will display the best of Tanner Hall’s 2014 season. Check out the teaser.
Watch as Western Mountain Sports athlete Max Durtschi stomps the winning run at CFS in Grand Targhee. We’re looking for big things out of this freshman athlete. Thanks to Preston Hoffman and Mountain Sports Media for the footage. \ Max Durschi CFS Grand Targhee Run from Mountain Sports Media on Vimeo.

Here is the replay from the Subaru Freeride Series stop at Snowbird. Big congratulations to CB’s own Ashley Bembenek for taking top honors on the ladies side.
Hey guess what? Another Alta edit. This one features Sage Cattabriga shredding around with a mega posse of teenagers who grew up at Alta, including Grant Howard, Andrew Pollard (who just took 1st and 3rd respectively at the SFS Snowbird), and Seth Klein to name a few. Enjoy.
In case you haven’t heard, Western State Colorado University as a pretty sweet Mountain Sports program. Check out webisode 1 of a series they are doing with Two Plank Productions. Western Mountain Sports Ep 1 – Intro from Twoplank Prod on Vimeo.
For the first time this season, Francesca Pavillard Cain earned herself a spot on the podium! Francesca followed up a strong 4th place finish at Fieberbrunn with a 3rd in Andorra. This result goes an enormous way towards securing Francesca an invite to the Alaska stop (which is invite only). Way to go Fran!
Kiwi Sam Smoothy laid down this run to take 1st at the Freeride World Tour in the men’s freeski category today at Andorra. Considering the low tide and relatively firm snowpack, this line is super creative and definitely took some guts. Check out this run! Run of Smoothy Sam (NZL) – Swatch Freeride… by FreerideWorldTourTV
