Join ORE as they screen the acclaimed new film “WATERSHED: Exploring a New Water Ethic for the West”. Executive Produced and Narrated by Robert Redford and Directed by award-winning filmmaker, Mark Decena, WATERSHED tells the story of the threats to the once-mighty Colorado River and offers solutions for the future of the American West. As the most dammed, dibbed, and diverted river in the world struggles to support thirty million people and the peace-keeping agreement known as the Colorado River Pact reachesĀ its limits, WATERSHED introduces hope.

George Sibley, Gunnison Valley local and author of the new book “Water Wranglers: The 75 Year History of the Colorado River District”, will introduce the film and participate in a panel discussion afterward, led by local experts from the High Country Citizens Alliance, Coal Creek Watershed Coalition, and the Upper Gunnison River Water Conservancy District. Sibley will also be signing copies of his new book that will be available for purchase following the event.

The event starts at 6 PM at the Crested Butte Mountain Theatre. 403 Second St. (Next to the Old Town Hall Bus Stop).
$5 at the door includes popcorn.
