Town League Hockey is Back

Early Registration Ends December 2nd

Crested Butte Town League Hockey is back.  After a successful first season under the new roof at the Big Mine Ice Rink, hockey in Crested Butte is stronger and more fun than ever.  The new roof created a more festive and spectator friendly atmosphere where town league hockey became a popular event on weeknights.  Last year, the town watched the Brick Oven complete a perfect season to recapture the Town League title after losing it in 2011.

This year, teams will play in one game a week on either Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday beginning on January 2nd, 2013.  Registration must be completed by 5:00 pm on December 13th to guarantee a spot on a team.  Register by 10:00 pm on December 2nd and receive a $20 discount.  The draft will be held at the Brick Oven on December 15th at 7:00 pm.

In addition to the traditional Town League, there will be a valley wide  Competitive League run by the Gunnison Valley Hockey Association.  Games will be held on Fridays in Crested Butte and on Mondays in Gunnison at Jorgensen.

Even if you think you’re terrible, Town League hockey is a ton of fun.  You won’t regret it.

Register for USA Hockey here and for Town League here.  You have to register for both.
