Tanner Perkins is a bad man. Well, a bad 16 year-old, but you’ll understand. He is probably one of the best raw talents in Crested Butte and has been leading the race program on the Crested Butte Mountain Sports team under the guidance of the alpine head coach, Conor Lynch. They are over in Vail right now, and a lot of hard work paid off when Tanner took the Downhill victory on Sunday afternoon by over half a second. The top 80 kids in in Rocky/Central Region have been battling it out in Vail and to have one of Crested Butte’s own come out on top of the DH podium is makes us so proud! Tanner then took 15th in Super G after a quick mistake cost him some spots and he has Giant Slalom today and Slalom on Thursday. After all is said and done, Tanner could earn a spot to the National Championships in Utah at the end of the month. We’ll update you as we can, in the meantime, check out the quick clip from Coach Conor’s Instagram below and a couple photos. Way to go, TANNER!
