Review: The Wallisch Project

Tom Wallisch receives more publicity than any other skier out there.  He’s the only freeski athlete featured multiple times in one commercial break for different products on major networks.  His new nine minute short film, the Wallisch Project, is available on Itunes for $2.99.  Is he worth it? Totally.

We at the West Elk Project are by no means an authority on jibbing.  People in Crested Butte don’t really care what goes on in that world.  But we do know that in every aspect shown, Wallisch crushes with immaculate style.  The urban is creative and consequential.  The backcountry hits are enormous and scenic.  Park manuevers are spun both ways.  “It was the most insane nine minutes I’ve ever watched,” comments CB pipe stud Aaron Blunck.  “And because it was only nine minutes, it only featured bangers.  Skiing is his passion, and it shows.”

The project was edited and directed by Level 1 cinematographer Kyle Decker.  It features tunes from Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons as well as the Visioneers. You can purchase it on iTunes by following this link.
