Things were looking pretty bleak for a while there. To the rescue came a magical southern flow with 9″ of wet snow at Crested Butte Mountain Resort Saturday night, followed by another 4″ of lighter, colder snow Sunday night. It snowed all day today (Monday) so the storm total at the resort is probably around 16″-19″ for now. According to our CBTV10 weather report, the southern flow is supposed to taper off and be replaced by a northern storm with scattered snow showers through Wednesday, so we will see what happens.
In the meantime, the CB Professional Ski Patrol opened up Monument, Hotrocks, and Psycho Rocks. There was a lot of great snow to be had riding off the Silver Queen. Eliot Rosenberg and Will Dujardin took turns getting behind the lens to take photos of each other and the likes of Matt Evans, Kaytlin Hughes, Dave Bunt, and Nick Hill. Enjoy!
Pray for snow!
