Get The Girls Out Sunday! Ladies. Costumes. Skis.

getthegirlsout

What would you dare to accomplish if you knew success was the only outcome?

You may have heard some buzz about SheJumps in Crested Butte. The non-profit organization focuses on “increasing female participation in outdoor activities by building upon a supportive community that inspires its members to reach their highest potential.” In other words, SheJumps wants to inspire women to empower other women to get outside and out of their comfort zone. I decided to bring SheJumps to the Gunnison Valley in order to bring women together and to allow us to meet new ski, hiking, climbing, and fill in the blank partners. We women have a special bond, especially in a ski town where we (I don’t know if you’ve noticed) tend to be outnumbered. I think being able to have an organization in town where you can show off your skills by hosting a clinic or increase your confidence by trying out an activity with a supportive group of females is helpful in expanding our potential as a part of our badass community of women and as individuals.

So if any of this sounds interesting, if you want a chance to meet or hang out with new and old girlfriends, if you like skiing in tutus or if you just don’t want to ski by yourself on Sunday, March 10 stop by the 9380 fire pit at 11:00 and join a group of ladies for as few or as many laps as you want. Wear a costume if you want, bring your skis, a smile and join SheJumps for our last Get The Girls Out of the season!

See You Out There Ladies!!
