kapplvenue

After her first FWT competition ended with a punch front tumble, Crested Butte native Francesca Pavillard Cain rebounded with a second place at the FWT stop in Kappl, Austria.  Pavillard-Cain, who finished behind Austrian Nadine Wallner, adapted well to the last minute change in venue, when the contest moved from Fieberbrunn to Kappl.  Kiwi Sam Smoothy took first for the men.  On the snowboard side of things, Squaw Valley’s Sammy Luebke and Ralph Backstrom took first and second respectively, while Snowbird’s Shannon Yates took the female division.

*UPDATE* Highlights below!* Francesca’s highlights are at 3:18, but it’s worth watching all of it.
