Francesca Pavillard Cain is in Europe prepping for the first female stop of the tour at Chamonix. We’re excited for the Western State Colorado University athlete to throw down on the biggest stage in freeskiing. This post comes from her blog.
It was a long flight but pretty easy. Some how I got three seats to myself on my last flight! (Of course the smallest on the plane has the most room!)
Currently I am in Leysin Switzerland staying with my Dad until I head off for Chamonix. The trip has got off to a great start.
The first day I got settled, adjusting to the time change. I did my favorite run through the vineyards and enjoyed the incredible views that surround me everywhere I go. I have been enjoying the luxuries of Switzerland including perhaps the best part Swiss Fondue.
Although, the snow conditions are not as good as last year I happened to get out skiing on the first sunny powder day Leysin has seen in some time! The rest of my time has been dedicated to classes, watching ski films and training. I leave for Chamonix on the 19th.
Tomorrow I plan to watch the first stop of the tour in Courmayeur where the boys will start the tour off with some exceptional skiing. It’s so excited that it is all getting started!
