David Chodounsky is maintaining form this season and so close to getting another top 5.  During this week’s FIS events at the Kitzbuehel and Schladming, Chodounsky took 11th twice to put himself in 10th overall in the World Cup Slalom rankings.

Chodounsky laid down decent first runs to put himself in good position at both races in 8th and 5th, respectively, but stumbled a bit on his second runs and winding up 11th.  His comments after both races were similar: “The result is actually not too bad – 11th, which is nice to get more points. But I’m not that stoked for today. First run felt really good … I was a little out of whack second run,” at Kitzbuehel and at Schladming: “I came out firing up top and felt pretty good, and then down at the bottom, I don’t know if I just tightened up a little bit or what. I just didn’t ski well. I was just grinding down here and losing time. I’m going to learn from all of these things. I’m having great first runs … and one of these times I’m going to put two of them together and it’s going to be pretty sweet.”  We know David has got some more grit in him to get back in the top 5 and the Crested Butte community is so stoked he is laying down solid runs.  We got your back, DAVER!
