Crested Butte’s own David Chodounsky just earned his career-best finish at Val D’Isere, taking 4th in the Slalom on December 13, 2015.  It has been a good hill for Chodounsky who has had a strong result there in 2013 to earn a spot on the Olympic team for Sochi.  It’s no surprise Chodounsky credited his love for the steeps for his success there:  “It’s unreal. Fourth place is amazing. To start off the slalom season like this is super cool … just to get your mind where you want to it be and know that you’re skiing well. Steeps and hard snow are my forté, you combine them and I really like that. I feel comfortable on this hill. Even though it’s a tough hill, I love coming here,” he said after the event.  Keep it up, dude!!!
