This video comes from the 2012 North American Ski Mountaineering Championships held at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Day one featured a 5-7 minute sprint race. Day two featured a traditional ski mountaineering race on 5,000 feet of elevation gain/loss. On the women’s side, Stevie Kremer took 3rd with Jari Kirkland not far behind in 6th. The men’s race was dominated by Team Scarpa Italy. However, Jon Brown and Brian Smith of Team Crested Butte finished 9th and 11th respectively. These guys and gals are badass.
