CB Mountain Guides in the Chugach

I want to ski the Chugach. Photo: CB Mountain Guides

Maybe you are getting AK overload.

Maybe you should have gone up there like everybody who’s cool did.  Wait, I guess we weren’t cool enough. But Jayson Simons-Jones and CB Mountain Guides are very cool and offered two ski-mountaineering trips up there in April and made the best of it.  They got some heli-time in Valdez and did some ski-mountaineering around Thompson Pass.  Check out Jayson’s video recap of the trips:

The video is a little long around 7 minutes, but you really get a feel for how steep and fun skiing in Alaska is.  I guess “I went to Alaska” is now being used as a phrase to incite jealousy among all Colorado residents.  Please don’t let this get to you; you’ll make it one day!

Check out the Crested Butte Mountain Guides website!  They offer so many rad trips around the world involving all kinds of methods and mediums to get up and down and around, go get some!
