In a surprise move, Crested Butte Mountain Resort announced that it would be extending the 2016 ski season, with the new closing day scheduled for Sunday, April 24th. In addition to the extension, CBMR is changing the resort’s operating hours, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, to take advantage of long spring light hours.
“Epic snow totals, well operating lifts, and a super stoked staff have allowed us to stay open,” exclaimed CBMR PR & Communications Manager Erica Ullr. “The Ski Patrol is especially excited.”
All Crested Butte Mountain Resort passes will be valid. The forecast calls for sunny days intermixed with some storms, so get ready for some excellent spring skiing.
