The fun continues into fall. This weekend, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is hosting both the Gravity Slave Downhill Race as well as the 14th annual Fall Festival of Beers & Chili Cookoff. The leaves are changing and the weather is looking ok, so be sure to get out to the base area for some outdoor fun in the beautiful setting we call home.
Beer and Chili
Crested Butte Mountain Resort’s Fall Festival of Beers & Chili Cookoff kicks off autumn the right way. Saturday afternoon, local cooks square off in a delicious chili tasting event. Wash down your chili with a variety of beers from Colorado and beyond. In addition, attendees will get to view the finish of the Gravity Slave qualifying. It should be an awesome day.
Gravity Slave
Gravity Slave, presented by Budweiser and Monster Energy, will take place on CB’s classic downhill course, Avery. The top three men and women will be splitting a $2,000 cash purse. Pro qualifying begins at 4:00 on Saturday. The amateur division kicks off at 10:30 on Sunday, followed by the pro division. Visit CBMR’s website for more details.
