Crested Butte has long been the unofficial home of “extreme” skiing. It has played host to the longest running free ride competition in North America. While the word “extreme” has gone out of style (thank goodness), it is fun to look back at footage of these old events. This video comes from 14erskiers.com, who cut up the old footage (from a vhs) into a fifteen minute highlight video of the 1992 event. It features Seth Morrison (still crushing btw), Doug Coombs, Dean Conway, Johnny Biggers, and the 1992 champion, Kent Krietler.
