Sweetgrass Productions‘ third film, “Solitaire”, will be showing at Western’s University Center Ballroom on Wednesday, Dec. 5th. The doors are at 6:30. It’s $3 for students and $5 for everyone else. The event is being held to benefit the WSCU Mountain Sports Team. All proceeds will go directly to the Big Mountain, Park & Pipe, Skier Cross, and Nordic teams. A raffle will be held with many chances to win awesome gear for getting out on the hill and out in the snow.
“Solitaire” is great backcountry ski film that takes place entirely in South America. People who have been there will tell you that it is no easy place to ski, even when you have lifts. The Andes are impressive mountains that really push our limits as skiers and riders. With serious Heart of Darkness influences, Sweetgrass does an incredibly beautiful job capturing the passion and love of the sport in one of the most extreme environments on this planet.
