The Meeting 8 rolled on with the showing of Red Bull Media House’s “We: A Collection of Individuals” by Poor Boyz Productions.  Stoke for the evening was high, as the crowd anticipated notable athlete additions to the Poor Boyz crew. Right off the bat, it is clear that Poor Boyz wanted to bring big mountain back into their films.

After a banger opening park segment, Pep Fujas is featured in an individual segment that exemplifies his transformation from a park guru to a big mountain stud.  Other highlights from the evening include Leigh Powis performing a “ceiling slide” (don’t know what else to call it, see trailer), Mike Henitiuk’s smooth ripping down an enormous spine, Josh Stack’s “manboosting” antics, an inspiring segment from Sammy Carlson, and Karl Fostvedt sessioning a high consequence redirect feature.  Poor Boyz’ most high profile acquisition, Sean Pettit, closes the film, bringing his big mountain prowess and smooth style to someone other than Matchstick.

Overall, it was another strong effort from Poor Boyz Productions.  Jonny Decesare brought stellar editing to another sweet soundtrack.  The addition of more big mountain segments brought a more well-rounded feel to what is traditionally a jib-oriented company.  Poor Boyz Productions’ “We: A Collection of Individuals” will be shown at the Lodge at Mountaineer Ballroom on October 12, presented by the Colorado Freeskier.  Make sure to check it out.
