The Wildflower Rush Downhill Race went down at Crested Butte Mountain Resort yesterday. The race was stop 3 of 5 of the Mountain States Cup Rocky Mountain Regional Championship Series. It was awesome to see the base area so busy over the weekend.
Competitors and spectators alike had to deal with intense dusty conditions, as the region has been precipitation starved for months.West Elk locals Kain Leonard and Colin Pickett cracked the top 10, finishing 4th and 7th respectively. On the ladies side, Stephanie Leonard and Janae Pritchett finished 4th and 5th respectively. Big props to Gravity Groms team members Gus Bullock and Brooks Hudson for getting after it in the under 10 division.
Also, thanks to all the volunteers at all the Bike Week events.
